Gen AI Workshop & Reception

On Monday, August 26th, from 3-4 PM in O'Shag 242 there will be an informational workshop concerning generative AI including: how it works, how to get it to work the way you want, and methods for teaching and assessment. I will be joined by Ardea Russo from the Office of Academic Integrity and Alex Ambrose from Notre Dame Learning. The workshop will be followed by a reception down the hall in the Technology and Digital Studies Hub in O'Shag 217.

Free Access to Multiple AI models via the Magai software

The ODS supports giving faculty and graduate students in the College no-cost access to a variety of AI software including multiple (and the latest) models from OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, and Meta, as well as a number of image-generating models through an integrative software package called Magai (magai.co). Fill out the form at https://bit.ly/GenAI_access and we will set up a free account for you.

Office Hours, Additional Workshops, and Periodic Social Events

Starting September 2nd, we will be hosting AI Office Hours every Monday afternoon from 4 to 5 pm in O'Shag 217. Subsequently, throughout the semester we will host additional professional development, support, and listening activities. In the meantime, if you have any questions regarding AI and its implications for teaching or research (or any other strategic issue related to technology and the liberal arts), or would like me to come and speak with your department or affinity group, please contact John Behrens.
