Chengxu Yin

Biography

Chengxu Yin specializes in Chinese language pedagogy, teaching across all levels from
beginning to advanced. She received a Certificate of Distinction in Teaching from the Derek Bok
Center at Harvard University, was the inaugural recipient of the Ursula Williams Fellowship at
the University of Notre Dame, and received the Rev. Edmund P. Joyce, C.S.C., Award for
Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching at the University of Notre Dame. Her research focuses on
curriculum development and pedagogical innovation, with an emphasis on incorporating
emerging technologies and multiliteracy-based instruction, for which she has received multiple
grants.
Prior to joining the Notre Dame faculty, she taught at Brandeis, Harvard, and Johns Hopkins
universities, as well as the Middlebury College Summer Chinese School.
