Chengxu Yin specializes in Chinese language pedagogy. She has taught beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels of Chinese language courses. She received a Certificate of Distinction in Teaching from the Derek Bok Center of Teaching and Learning at Harvard University (1994). She was the inaugural recipient of Ursula Williams Fellowship at University of Notre Dame (2015). She also received the Rev. Edmund P. Joyce, C.S.C., Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching at University of Notre Dame (2016). Her current research interest is design and implementation of hybrid Chinese course, for which she received Digital Learning Faculty Implementation Grant from The Office of Digital Learning at Notre Dame.
Prior to joining the Notre Dame faculty, she taught at Brandeis University, Harvard University and Johns Hopkins University. She has also taught in the Summer Chinese School at Middlebury College.
