What is the Japanese major like at Notre Dame?

Japanese majors pursue their passions while developing skills such as cross-cultural engagement, communication, translation/interpretation, and textual analysis.
After graduation, students go on to top graduate and professional schools and work in a variety of professions and industries. First jobs include:

- Consulting assistant, Chicago Tokyo Group
- Economic analyst, China Policy

- Business management associate, General Mills
“There are so many opportunities with Japanese. I definitely see myself trying to keep up with the language,” said Japanese major Madison Oswald. “I want Japanese to be a very important part of me in the future.”
