Some of the highlights of the academic year were the Asian American Distinguished Speakers Series, featuring Oscar-nominated documentary filmmaker and Midwesterner David Siev; a fantastic and powerful Justice and Asia Distinguished Lecture by Professor Alpa Shah, one of the world’s leading anthropologists of South Asia; and the launch of a new summer course for undergraduate students at St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai.
