Ph.D in Literature

The Ph.D. in Literature at Notre Dame is an innovative interdisciplinary program which focuses on the study of literature from a transnational and intercultural perspective.

The Ph.D. in Literature brings together outstanding faculty and resources to enable doctoral students to study literature both within traditional disciplines and across disciplinary and national boundaries. It combines the forces of a number of departments and programs:
